Crawford Surveying Services is a standalone unit and can act independently from the wider Crawford UK operation. We were established in 2003 and since then we have continued to develop our knowledge base, qualifications and experience in surveying services, becoming RICS regulated in 2013. We offer a national coverage of surveying services through a combination of office and field based employees comprising of Chartered Building Surveyors, Building Surveyors, Structural Engineers experienced CDM and Project Managers supported by a nationwide administration team. Crawford Surveying Services experience covers both large scale complex projects and single standalone buildings throughout the UK. The work encompasses commercial, retail, leisure, industrial and residential property sectors. We are expanding our leading team of Chartered Building Surveyors to support demand from our many clients and to deliver professional surveying and project managed services further and offering this expertise out to the commercial market.

Services Include

Cost Estimates and Feasibility Studies – Preparation of budget cost estimates for proposed construction works or the preparation of Feasibility Reports, including sketch scheme design drawings and budget cost estimates. • Structural Design – Structural design in support of overall architectural design.

  • Statutory Approvals – Obtaining planning permission, listed building and conservation area consents and building regulations approval.
  • Schedules of Works and Tendering – Preparation of tender documents and invitation of tenders from either client approved contractors or our own contractors from our approved tender list.  
  • Contract Administration – Administration of construction contracts from inception through to handover, including JCT and NEC forms of contract. Services Detail Page Crawford Website Template 
  • CDM Principal Designer Undertaking the role of CDM Principal Designer under the Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015. 
  • Building Surveys – Reports on the general condition of both Residential and commercial property.Maintenance Surveys – Planned maintenance reports with summary of recommended works to assist with property management. 
  • Party Wall Matters – Undertaking the role of Party Wall Surveyor for either the building owner or adjoining owner in respect of residential and commercial party wall matters.  
  • Schedule of Condition – Preparation of written and photographic schedules recording the current condition of a building or structure prior to entering into a lease, or prior to commencement of construction works. 
  • Dilapidations – Dilapidation advice including preparation of Interim and Terminal schedules of dilapidations for commercial properties. We can act for the landlord or tenant in such matters. 
  • Structural Movement Analysis – Reports upon structural movement generally to a building or structure. 
  • Specific Defects Reports – Report upon a specific defects to both Residential and Commercial property. 
  • Project Management - Provision of project management services from inception through to completion. 
  • Heritage – Preparation of reports in respect of listed building and conservation approvals.  
  • Expert Witness – Preparation of reports to assist in resolution of construction related disputes (i.e. alleged defective materials and workmanship, contractual disputes). 
  • Fire Risk and Health and Safety Audits – to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.  
  • VAR Valuations – Professional report to provide an accurate VAR in regards to commercial and residential insured properties.
